Options
Light Rail
Parking is free (compare with $24 in the Hotel parking lot) and rates are very reasonable. Take the train to the Pratt Street/Convention Center Station (this station is not presented in the schedule but is the next stop following Camden Yards on the northbound schedule), walk one block to the West, turning right onto Eutaw Street to the main entrance to the Hotel. Amtrak
This a viable option for those traveling from areas with Amtrak stations. Please refer to the Amtrak website for additional information. Take Amtrak to Penn Station Baltimore, which is about 3 miles north of the hotel, where you can take a cab or connect to Light Rail (only 2 light rail trains stop at Penn Station per hour)going south to the Pratt St station (see walking directions above).
Baltimore Metro Subway
For those travelling to the Conference from within Baltimore, this is an alternative to light rail . Take the Baltimore Metro Subway to the Charles Center station. Upon exiting the station, walk west for three blocks (approximately .3 miles) and then turn left onto Eutaw Street and walk for approximately .2 miles until you cross Lombard Street. The Hotel will be on your right hand side.
MARC
The MARC system (commuter rail) provides two avenues of access for those coming from DC and its Maryland suburbs on weekdays, via the Penn or Camden lines, and provides a less expensive alternative to Amtrak if you are near a MARC station. Both lines start at Union Station in DC, but they end at different stations in Baltimore, and they have different stops. The Penn Line runs from Union Station in DC to Penn Station in Baltimore, usually making 7 stops. From Penn station you can take a taxi or light rail (see above) to the conference. The Camden Line also starts at Union Station in DC but it ends at the Camden Yards Station in Baltimore, usually making 7 stops. From the Camden Yards station, walk north on Howard Street for about one block, left one block on Pratt Street and then a right onto Eutaw. Check the map and schedule on the MARC system website for details.
From BWI Airport
The hotel does not offer a shuttle service to or from BWI airport, but the Light Rail station is very convenient from the Airport (the station is adjacent to the International terminal) to the Pratt St./Convention Center Station referenced above. Cab fare will be approximately $30, while the light rail option will only cost $1.60 each way while a cab ride will take approximately 20 minutes and the light rail is scheduled to take 25 minutes.
